A synthesizer that plays what you play.
Your guitar is the controller.
Your dry signal stays untouched.
Four voices. One performance.
From invisible reinforcement to full synth takeover.

Four Ways to Follow a Note.

The performance stays the same. The material surrounding it changes completely. Choose breath, clarity, voltage, or air.
Glass
A vocal, formant-shaped voice with breath and human movement. Keep it close to the guitar for a choir-like shadow, or raise it into a shimmering octave.
Crystal
The structure of GLASS with the vocal character removed. Cleaner, purer, and more transparent around the original note.
Solar
An open saw lead with unmistakable synthetic heat. Bright, direct, and built to step in front of the guitar.
Aura
A hollow, reedy pulse with space inside it. Softer around the edges and stranger through the center.
Play it.
Play a single note and HOLLOWGLOW builds a tuned synth layer around it in real time. No MIDI, special pickup, or setup. The voice arrives with the note and leaves when you stop.
Morph it.
GLASS moves the generated voice from thick unison reinforcement to a sparkling octave above. LEAD adds edge and rasp. SUB anchors the line one octave below.
Keep it alive.
STAIN adds vibrato and shimmer so held notes continue to move. COMP raises the synth as the string decays, turning a fading note into a sustained voice.
Push it.
DRIVE saturates only the generated synth. The guitar remains untouched while the second voice becomes warmer, rougher, and more aggressive. Clean articulation stays underneath the heat.
Strip it.
Every knob except BLEND controls a processing stage that can be removed completely. Right-click the knob and that stage leaves the signal path. This is different from setting it to 0%, which leaves the stage active at its minimum value. Right-click again, or move the control, to bring it back.
Watch it.
The stained glass changes as the sound changes. Color builds with the controls, the body glows while you play, and the dial indicators move from cool to hot as they are pushed.

From Shadow to Takeover

HOLLOWGLOW does not force the guitar into a new identity. It lets you decide how much of the second voice becomes part of the sound.
Subtle Reinforcement
Keep BLEND low and the synth adds size, movement, and sustain that you feel before you consciously hear it.
Synth Double
Lock a second voice to every single-note line without recording, editing, or aligning another performance.
Octave Bloom
Move the generated voice above the guitar while the original pick attack remains clear and immediate.
Lead Takeover
Push SOLAR, DRIVE, COMP, and BLEND until the synthetic layer becomes the front of the sound.
Ambient Sustain
Let GLASS or AURA hang behind the note with shimmer, vibrato, and length as the string fades away.
20
Factory presets. From a halo around the dry tone to complete synth takeover.
One Performance. Two Voices.
Keep the guitar. Add the synth. Decide which one leads.

Questions

HOLLOWGLOW listens to a single note, detects its pitch, and generates a separate synthesizer voice tuned to that note. The generated layer follows the line in real time while the original dry signal remains untouched.
No. HOLLOWGLOW works directly from the audio entering the plugin. Load it before your amp and cab or amp-sim chain, play a single-note line, and the synth follows the performance.
64-bit VST3 for Windows and Audio Unit (AU) plus VST3 for macOS. Compatible with DAWs that support these formats. AAX is not included, so HOLLOWGLOW is not compatible with Pro Tools.
No. Windows and macOS are separate purchases. Each platform has its own checkout.
After purchase, you'll receive a license key by email. Each license is intended for one user and includes activation for up to 2 machines. If you change computers or need an activation reset, contact support and we'll help.
All digital purchases are final due to the nature of downloadable software. If you have an installation, compatibility, or activation issue, contact support and we'll help you get it working.
Not currently. These plugins are launching with introductory pricing for a limited time, with regular pricing planned after the launch period.
HOLLOWGLOW's cost comes from its synthesis engine and real-time pitch tracking. MONO mode (the default) runs one engine; STEREO runs two independent engines and roughly doubles the CPU, so leave it on MONO for guitar. When no note is sounding, the engine idles cheaply. Everything is computed synthesis with no sample libraries, so RAM use is negligible.
HOLLOWGLOW is deliberately monophonic. It tracks one note and generates one voice. When it hears chords, heavy noise, or unclear pitch information, the synth layer backs away instead of producing the wrong note. Play a clear single-note line and it returns immediately.
No. The synthesis, DRIVE, COMP, SUB, STAIN, and voice-shaping stages apply to the generated synth layer. Your original signal remains intact and is combined with the synth using BLEND.
Every knob except BLEND can be removed from the signal path. Setting a knob to 0% leaves that processing stage active at its minimum setting. Right-clicking removes the entire stage completely, so it contributes no processing and uses no CPU. Right-click it again, or adjust the control, to restore it.
The installer defaults to C:\Program Files\VstPlugins, which some DAWs don't scan out of the box. Either add that folder to your DAW's plugin scan paths, or re-run the installer and point it at C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 (the standard VST3 location). Then rescan your plugins and HOLLOWGLOW will appear.
